El Golfluencer Primera Liga Round 3: A Showcase of Skill, Style, and Celebration at the Miami Springs Golf Classic

On Saturday, May 10th, the El Golfluencer Primera Liga heats up with Round 3, held at the historic Miami Springs Golf & Country Club. But this isn’t just another round—LiiftGolf has officially elevated this event to “Showcase” status, welcoming Liift players from other leagues for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of competition and camaraderie.

Branded as the Miami Springs Golf Classic, and proudly sponsored by Johnny Walker and Enthuse, this unique event brings together all 10 official league teams plus two guest teams made up of players from Weston Hills and other Miami-based leagues. In addition to the heated golf action, players will enjoy the festive vibe of an OASIS setup on the course and a late Cinco de Mayo celebration at the bar post-round—drinks, music, and surprises await.

Introducing Liift Points and Expanded Competition Formats

This round marks a milestone in LiiftGolf history with the introduction of the first-ever Liift Points—ushering in a new layer of competitive structure and long-term player rewards. Points will be awarded across three competitive categories:

  • Individual Net
  • Individual Gross
  • Team Net (Showcase Format)

In a twist exclusive to showcase events, the Team Net scores on event day will be calculated using the average net score of all team members—no scores discarded. This incentivizes maximum participation and introduces a strategic shift from the traditional format where only the three lowest net scores count toward the league’s team standings.

While the League Team Standings will still be calculated as usual for championship purposes, the Classic Trophy will be awarded based on the inclusive Showcase format, offering every team—even guest teams—a fair shot at victory. This pilot system is being closely watched as a potential model for future outings that blend competition with open participation.

Current Standings: Leaders to Watch

In the Net Individual category, Guillermo Llerandi remains at the top of the leaderboard, with Roberto Pardey and Daniel Rudner following closely. Daniel also maintains his dominance in the Gross category, with Greg Spelios and Juan Ariza (tied with Llerandi) rounding out the top three.

On the team side, The Green Machine continues to lead with a 12-point cushion over the Bogey Busters, who themselves are narrowly ahead of the Fairway Warriors. However, considering the player rosters expected on the day of the Classic, Liift Legends and Birdie Bandits are poised to be strong contenders for the Showcase trophy.

Strong Guests and a Full Leaderboard

This expanded field includes several solid mid-handicap players (14–16 handicaps) as well as a Jose Rodriguez a young Puertorican PRO, setting the stage for high-caliber play and potential leaderboard shakeups. The blend of league regulars and fresh talent will raise the competitive bar—and likely spark some friendly rivalries going forward.

The Miami Springs Golf Classic is more than just a round—it’s a celebration of the LiiftGolf spirit. A day where community meets competition, and where golf is as much about the good times as it is about the scorecard. With points, prizes, premium sponsors, and post-round festivities, this is one event you won’t want to miss.
